About

Megan Cales.

Founder and CEO of Sensory Bridges and MMMmc: An Innovation Co.

I'm not an engineer.

I'm a mom. I'm also neurodivergent, which means I spent a long time being the person in the room who couldn't explain what was wrong in a way anyone could use.

Brooks Band started at my kitchen table, with a child who couldn't explain what was hurting and a mother who could see it anyway. I built the thing I couldn't find — a way to show how a day actually went, in words the people around you can act on.

Everything since — the studies, the filings, the pilots — came out of that. I'm still the one answering the email.

Two entities, one mission.

Sensory Bridges LLC in Tennessee builds the Brooks Band and the tools around it. MMMmc LLC in Georgia is the parent company, holds and licenses the filed intellectual property, and builds the software.

The work combines innovation consulting, licensing, and applied research. Public study pages share summaries only; protocols, instruments, data, and detailed findings remain protected and are discussed under written agreement.

Programs and cohorts.

  • Project Healthcare — newest cohort graduate
  • Vanderbilt Builder Program alum
  • NSF Mid-South I-Corps

The work grew through applied research at UTC and continued through programs focused on healthcare, customer discovery and building new products.
